Southwest Montana Hunting and Fishing
Enjoy the exceptional hunting and fishing that Southwest Montana and Idaho have to offer. This area is home to several varieties of trout including: cut throat, rainbow, brook and bull trout. Click here for a list of guides and an up-to-date fishing report.
Southwest Montana Hiking and Mountain Biking
Many of our guests come to enjoy the hiking and biking in Southwest Montana. Just a short distance from the lodge you will find Trapper Peak Mountain trail head with miles of beautiful mountain trails.
The book, "Hiking the Bitterroots" lists all the trails and their difficulty for those wishing to get outdoors on foot. We keep a copy in the Lodge for your reference.
Southwest Montana Rafting and Floating
Half-day or full-day float trips are available from several outfitters in the Southwest Montana and Idaho area. About the only serious rafting would be over on the Sel-Way river in Idaho. By permit most of the year but early spring and later fall I believe permits aren`t required.
Bitterroot River Float Trips
That`s when there is high water with BIG debris or low water. The West Fork of the Biterroot River is next to the Lodge and great for daily float trips with or without that fly rod. We can arrange those trips with our local guides. Just let us know in enough time and they will pick you up here and deliver you back.
We want you to come to Montana and enjoy what we have to offer. We try to accomodate everyone`s wishes and hope that your stay with us is wonderful and exciting, one that entices you and your family to return. Whether you arrive by flying or driving , you can experience Montana`s Magic with us. Come visit Montana and relax.
